Distractions are Bad Company

I haven’t been writing many posts lately, or even working on my website much.

It’s most probably due to this!


Battlefield Bad Company 2 beta BITCHES!!!

great game, cant wait for the full game, which comes out March! But i definately need a new graphics card for this one. (as you can tell from the screeny, my detail settings aren’t exactly that high).

Thinking I should wait for the new Nvidia GTX 400 series cards, DX11, 1.5GB GDDR5, and a whole 3 billion transistors. Slated for release in Q1 this year, just in time for BFBC2!

My Setup

Since i mentioned in the last post i had a work computer, i thought id share my current setup for both my gaming rig and work rig.

Gaming Rig:
- C2D E6600 @3.6ghz
- EVGA nforce 680i A1
- 1x Nvidia 8800GTX 768mb
- 2x 2gb Corsair DDR2 @800mhz 5-5-5-18
- 1x 320gb Seagate
- Tuniq Tower HSF
- Corsair HX620 PSU
- Antec 900

Working Rig:
- AMD64 3200 @2.4ghz
- Gigabyte nforce3 K8 Triton
- 1x Nvidia 6600GT 256mb
- 2x 1gb Kingston DDR
- 1x 160gb WD
- Thermaltake HSF
- Antec 550W Truepower

As you can tell, my work rig is my old gaming rig, has served me well, but its probably time for an upgrade. Gaming Rig is still handling itself, could be better as well but really no need at the moment.

What i’d really like though is a nice quality workstation:
Quad core, 8gb RAM, nvidia quadro, nice quiet quality case like the classic antec p180’s, and a new wacom graphics tablet or even an lcd one ;) mmmm….

Oh and i have a nice macbook too:
- C2D 2.4ghz
- nvidia 9400
- 2gb DDR2
but its used more for on-the-go, web surfing and mac specific software (i.e. XCode). Has treated me fairly well for an apple product.
